Merry Christmas to me! After considering a new camera for a while, I finally decided on the new D7000 from Nikon. Don't get me wrong, I love my D90 and my D50 was a great starter camera (thanks Ben). The D7000 feels a lot like my D90 but excels in some areas. The picture quality is higher and the ISO can be pumped out without as much noise. I have been playing with the HD video feature and will post some unedited clips soon.
I am excited as I continue my photog journey to have some decent equipment in the bag. I want to thank everyone who has been so supportive of this creative adventure of mine. I had a great Nov/Dec, meeting new families, from the age of 5 days on up. I look forward to staying in touch with these families and helping to capture some incredible memories for a lifetime.
As I look back over my pictures of my kids, I am constantly reminded of the importance of investment. Invest the money on the experience. Going cheap isn't worth it. Get the candids, buy the DVD to archive, and hold onto to those moments. In an instant, they are teenagers!
January will be a great month of to invest. If you have friends or family that are looking for a photog that will provide an investment in them...please give them my contact info. I'd love to start the journey with them. January we are offering mini sessions for $30. All 30 days in January, you can get 30 minutes for $30. Plus you can purchase the DVD for only $30 at the time of the session. This will be the only month that we run this promotion.
We are getting a new backdrop, new floor drop, and shipping is only $4.99 for prints. That's our January outlook at MP.
