It's March 1st. Anyone who knows me knows that I go into some far distant land in the winter and really should of been called a hibernated bear. Things change when winter approaches. The trees die, the grass is covered in snow or it's blah brown and the sky is gray. This effects me. Yes, it does. Around 5:39pm I am ready for bed. Enough said.
Today is March 1st. I know I already said that but I wanted to share my exciting adventure with you. For the next
30 days 31 days, I am going to shred. I've decided I am shredding my old chains of life and starting fresh. It is hard. But certainly attainable. I'm shredding many things. Each day, I will journey through my shred and share it on my blog. Since I love photography, I am going to take pictures. You see as much as I am passionate about capturing moments for others, I actually don't take a good picture of myself. That is what I hope to attain in this shred--a sense of who I actually am. I want to look in the mirror (or the camera lens) and know who I am at the end of this journey. So I hope you join me as I search. The sermon this past weekend really smacked me in the face. I have to figure many things out and decide if I am seeking the kingdom first. As Jason Mitchell said through Matthew 6:33 "If you’re bored, start seeking the kingdom. What the world needs to see is more people who are actually alive."
So here I am--alive.
My first shred was my hair. Got it cut. Freedom.
Until tomorrow,
Jen
